Looking at the smallish box does not give you a fair idea of the tools and fly tying materials inside. From my limited experience, the only thing missing is a whip finisher. I haven’t watched the DVD or tied any flies with this kit yet, but I wanted you to get a look at the contents before I post some of my results. Look for the second part of this review when I get time to sit down at the bench for a few minutes. While you wait, try to come up with some humorous comments based on one item, head cement.

Okay, is head cement a product I’m supposed to comment on or is it merely what blocked your brain when you thought you would actually find time to go fly fishing???

I have felt like I had cement in my head for about a week now thanks to a sinus infection. I’m looking forward to a guided squirrel hunt this weekend. I plan to save any tails for tying material.

Aha, so the squirrel hunt is on. Have a good time, but be careful with the long drive. A squirrel is not worth what can happen when one falls asleep while steering a moving vehicle.

What is this sleep of which you speak? Is it some type of cover scent? A new camouflage pattern?

Ah, sleep. That which when we were teen/college age so enjoyed/took for granted during daylight hours never once realizing that this would be the only time such enjoyment would ever be possible. Why never again possible, you ask. Because we became adults. What a drag!
