I thought it was getting more shallow until I realized I was starting to float. Fortunately, the box of shells in my jacket pockets had me weighted to almost neutral buoyancy. That creek channel ripping along at the speed of a Class I rapid had me somewhat concerned as well. I’d like to see you pour as much water out of those Damascus tubes as I poured out of the hollow stock of my Nova. I’m thinking about putting some tins of sardines in there both for balance and for a mid-morning snack, but I can’t figure out how to keep my crackers dry.
