I wondered if anybody would notice the variation on the “Dead Man’s Hand.” Very observant! I went with a full boat rather than Hickok’s aces up, but it was a deliberate reference nonetheless. Any opinion as to what Hickok’s fifth card may have been? I’ve read several competing theories.
